The Pains Wessex Red Handflare Mk8 is a hand-held, short range distress signal used to pinpoint location by day or night. Burns for 60 seconds at 15,000 candela. Features a unique telescopic handle making it very compact and space saving when stowed in a liferaft. Easily extended and pull wire operated.

Aurora Orange Handsmoke Mk2
The Pains Wessex Aurora Orange Handsmoke is a hand held marine distress signal for daytime use only which indicates position and wind direction. The smoke emits a dense cloud of vivid, expanding orange smoke. In clear visibility, this cloud is visible for up to 60 seconds at more than 4km away, when viewed at sea level. Strong winds will reduce visibility range.
